              December 16, 1976, when Lorenzo Carter was called into the ministry, 
              he answered God’s call with sincerity and conviction. Presently, 
              he is the devoted pastor of the Center Ridge Baptist Church, Inc. 
              in Shubuta, MS; a position he has held since 1980. He is also the 
              executive director of the New Beginnings Fellowship Center, Inc. 
              which was established in 1999 as a facility dedicated to the empowering 
              of the family through education, economics, and recreational activities. 
              He is also the founder of Good News Gospel Today Ministries 
              Broadcast; a weekly television broadcast ministering to people in 
              Lauderdale County, MS and surrounding areas.
  
              Pastor Carter is a Licensed Clinical Mental Therapist and is certified 
              in Crisis Intervention. He is a member of the National Council in 
              Family Relations and has served as keynote speaker and host of several 
              conferences pertaining to marriage and family, singles, men empowerment, 
              and youth activities. He has served passionately and selflessly 
              as a mentor in the Quitman School District.  
              Pastor Carter works diligently to reach people in all walks of life. 
              He not only serves the members of his congregation, but he also 
              reaches out to others through many outreach ministries. The Christian 
              Resource Publication Department, which produces, promotes, and distributes 
              CDs, and DVDs, handles numerous requests for Pastor Carter’s 
              uplifting and motivating sermons.  
              Pastor Carter is a dedicated, innovative, creative Christian leader 
              who does not hesitate to “step outside the box” to reach 
              the lost, the suffering, the bereaved, and the downhearted. He has 
              the God-given ability to establish immediate rapport with people 
              of all ages and in all situations. No matter how bleak a situation 
              may appear, he approaches it with Godly love and compassion, ingenuity, 
              and gentleness.  
              A staunch family man, he is married to Cathy McGrew Carter. This 
              union was blessed with three daughters; Carvan (Albert) Breaizel, 
              Candace, and Cassie Carter. They are the proud grandparents of granddaughter 
              Carmen Breaizel. |
